About the artists
Andy Stott is a Manchester producer who’s carved out a dark, raw lane between techno, post-punk, and dream pop. Early dub techno gave way to 2011’s Passed Me By and We Stay Together—grinding, broken-down epics dubbed "knackered house." His albums, from the haunted Luxury Problems to 2021’s bruised yet beautiful Never the Right Time, fuse eerie textures, brutal rhythms, and Alison Skidmore’s ghostly vocals. A key figure on Modern Love, Stott also works under aliases like Andrea and in brutalist projects like Millie & Andrea. His sound is murky, visceral, and completely his own.

Carrier is the latest project from Guy Brewer, a boundary-pushing artist known for his evolution across drum & bass, techno, and experimental music. Rising to fame in the '90s, he later launched the influential Shifted project and Avian label. With Carrier, Brewer departs from genre constraints, blending decades of sonic exploration into a unified, eclectic sound that reflects his journey and artistic reinvention.

About the festival

Durations is a weekend-long, multi-instrumental exploration of sound, asking how music connects body, mind, memory, and imagination across time. Presented by Public Records in collaboration with Pioneer Works, the festival brings together a diasporic lineup of electronic and experimental artists and guest speakers for a series of live and club performances and presentations that push boundaries in music, philosophy, and design theory. The 2025 lineup includes a performance from Andy Stott onsite in PW's Main Hall, and features artists Actress, Call Super, Lyra Pramuk, MARRØN, Suso Såiz, Tornado Wallace, and Vlada.
