Green Screen Basics with Caroline Garcia
Join Tech Resident Alum Caroline Garcia to explore the basics of green screen technology. Participants will film a short sequence using a green screen (considering lighting, angles, composition, and performance) and learn how to edit these videos using chroma-key compositing and basic post-production techniques. By the end of the class, participants will have contributed to a group dance video clip in the same vein as Garcia's work.
Date: This in-person workshop will meet twice on Saturday, March 12 and March 19 from 1-4pm at Red Hook Labs.
Price: $0-100.

Caroline Garcia is a culturally promiscuous, interdisciplinary artist working across performance, video, and installation. She is a 2021 New York Artadia Awardee and a commissioned artist for ‘Open Call’ at The Shed and The Sydney Opera House’s digital exhibition ‘Returning.’ Caroline has presented work at Spring/Break Art Fair, Movement Research at Judson Church, Smack Mellon, Creative Time SummitX, A.I.R. Biennale, Hesse Flatow, and Lincoln Center. She is currently a CultureHub Tech Resident and an upcoming Recess Session artist for 2021-22.
