Group Tours

Pioneer Works offers guided tours to groups of eight or more throughout the year. Guided tours include general building and organization history and a walkthrough of the space, including a brief overview of current exhibitions. Group tours can be customized upon request in the areas of science, technology, music, or art exhibitions. Your group can also request studio visits with our artists-in-residence upon availability.

$5 per person w/ valid student ID

School Tours

We offer 3rd-12th Red Hook youth a series of free hands-on and discussion-based workshops during exhibition tours.

Generous funding for school programs is provided by Nissan.

Education programs at Pioneer Works are also supported in part by New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in Partnership with the City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Health and Safety Policy

COVID-19 vaccinations and masks are no longer required, but encouraged for all Pioneer Works visitors.

Visitor health and safety are our priority, however we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to COVID-19, and by visiting Pioneer Works, you assume the risk of exposure. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been recently exposed, please do not visit Pioneer Works.

Pioneer Works will continue to monitor and abide by guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), New York State, and New York City for health and safety procedures that inform our operations. Masks are encouraged for all school groups, but not required.
