A decade ago, our founder, artist Dustin Yellin, imagined Pioneer Works as a place where artists, scientists, and thinkers from different backgrounds could converge and work together in real-time. He sought to create a space that didn’t yet exist—a space where learning was a collective and interactive pursuit, one that could serve as a new organizational model free of disciplinary silos.

This year as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Pioneer Works, our commitment to serving our local community, supporting groundbreaking artists and scientists, and striving to create the world we want to live in remains steadfast.

As we reflect on the last ten years and look towards the future, we're thankful for the support of our creative community that sustains:

Year-round public programs including concerts, science talks, classes, performances, lectures, and workshops.
Site-specific and multidisciplinary exhibitions.
A Residency Program that offers emerging artists, musicians, and technologists with a space to work, tools to create, and a platform to exchange ideas.
School Programs and Adult Classes that reflect on the themes of exhibitions and methods of Artists-in-Residence; and Community Partnerships and Programs rooted in collaborations with Red Hook organizations and neighbors.
