The Mars 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle
Mars was formed roughly 4.5 billion years ago along with the other rocky planets Mercury, Venus and Earth. When life on Earth first began, roughly 3.8 billion years ago, conditions on Mars were very similar. At that time, Mars had a thick atmosphere that supported moderate temperatures and vast oceans of water. All of the ingredients for life were there. These early conditions certainly make it possible that Mars once did (or even still does) support life. With NASA's Perseverance rover landing on the red planet in February of 2021 in search of Martian life, we are getting closer than ever to knowing the answer.Â
This 1000 piece, 26.5" (67cm) circular puzzle shows Mars’ surface in stunning clarity. The image, courtesy of NASA, is one of the clearest images of Mars to date and includes some of Mars' most notable features like the Valles Marineris trench stretching across the red planet.
The difficulty level of this puzzle is high. Although this puzzle is a challenge, having some notable features shown in such clarity and being able to follow the natural gradient in this NASA image make our Mars puzzle enjoyable to assemble.
