Zoe Scruggs is a painter, music producer, and farmer based in Delaware. She produces music as Farmer Zoe and is one half of the music production duo, Zoe + Lou. Her music practice is influenced by the storytelling and medium manipulation embedded in both painting and agriculture. Her work overall is influenced by Black Feminism and Agricultural Resistance in its many definitions.

Scruggs earned her Bachelor’s in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2019. She has supported art and agriculture through working at organizations such as Harmony Homestead and Wellness, Family Agriculture Resource Management Services, Space on Ryder Farm, SouthSide Community Land Trust (RI).
