Sara Magenheimer
Visual Arts Residency

Sara Magenheimer is an artist based in Brooklyn and upstate NY who addresses linguistic, semiotic, and temporal concerns across a variety of media including video, painting, collage, and sculpture. She received her BA from Tufts University, BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and MFA from Bard College. Magenheimer has screened work and performed at CANADA Gallery, The Berkeley Art Museum, MoMA PS1, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Issue Project Room among others. She is currently collaborating with Ben Vida and Michael Bell-Smith on Bloopers, a video and music based performance commissioned by Triple Canopy for Performa 13 Biennial. At Pioneer Works, Sarah Magenheimer created Snoopy Table, a multimedia sculpture inspired by a zen Charlie Brown cartoon.
