Nourished By Time is the musical project of Baltimore-born artist Marcus Brown, whose emotionally charged blend of post-punk, New Wave, R&B, electro-funk, and experimental indie pop reflects a deeply personal and sharply observational voice, as captured on his breakout releases Erotic Probiotic 2 (2023), Catching Chickens (2024), and The Passionate Ones (2025). A Metamodernist, Brown crafts music that is as soulful as it is subversive—tackling themes of love, labor, existentialism, dreams, disillusionment, and hope. Initially created in Los Angeles in late 2019, Nourished By Time emerged as Brown's escape from the monotony of his day jobs, channeling his experiences into songwriting. Over time, he developed the dreamlike, uncanny sound that would come to define Nourished by Time.
