Louis Fratino
Visual Arts Residency

Louis Fratino lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He is currently making paintings and drawings that focus on homoerotic love. Figures and interiors are generated by mixing art historical references in an attempt to conjure feelings of intimacy.

Fratino attended the Maryland Institute College of Art, graduating in 2015 with a degree in painting. He also attended the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art and was awarded a Fulbright Research Fellowship to Berlin in 2016. He recently had a solo exhibition at Antoine Levi, Paris. Other exhibitions include Matisse + Fratino, Cabinet Printemps, Düsseldorf (2018); So I’ve got you, Thierry Goldberg, New York (2017); and Practice in Leisure, Galería Mascota, Mexico DF, (2017).
