Kazu Makino is a Japanese vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for her work as vocalist and guitarist in the New York-based alternative rock band Blonde Redhead. After starting her first solo recording at the beginning of 2017 in Brooklyn’s Figure 8 studio with producer/engineer Sam Owen, she continued the endeavor in Berlin at Voxton Studio, recorded by Francesco Donadello, and now at Pioneer Works with Sam Owen for the final stages of her debut solo work.
