Carlos Metta is a Mexico City-based musician, producer and sound artist.
Using field recordings, homemade acoustic instruments, synthesizers and a collection of instruments from different cultures, Carlos defies expected genre boundaries, creating a blend of cinematic and experimental music. He has performed and shared the stage with artists like John Zorn, Cyro Baptista, David Broza, Eviatar Banai and Patrick Watson and many others.
Aside from his on-stage work, Carlos has produced a series of sound related installations and projects exhibited in various prestigious galleries and museums like , BLACK NYC (USA), Holzmarkt 25 (GERMANY), Mexico City Museum, Feria de la Acción, Andrea Pozo Gallery, TagCDMX (Mexico) and Ilana Gur Museum (Israel).
In partnership with Radio28, Metta will be a resident at Pioneer Works in September 2022.
