Andros Zin-Browne
Visual Arts Residency
Andros Zins-Browne (New York, 1981) works at the intersection of performance and dance, extending choreographic practice towards non-dancers, vocalists, objects, and text. Works include: ‘De-hearsals’ of previous performances: Already Unmade (2016-), presented at ICA, London; The Whitney Museum; RAM, Shanghai; Fondation Galeries Lafayette, Paris. Atlas Unlimited: a cycle of collaborative exhibitions and performances (PERFORMA19) and currently streaming online (Criterion Channel; Triple Canopy). ‘Vocal Choreographies’: color, a body who flees (Hammer Museum, 2022) and The Chaos Opera (Canal Projects, 2024; Pioneer Works, 2025) activating intimacy through dissonance. ‘Remixes’: Tony Cokes (Berlin Biennale, 2018; Dia Art Foundation, 2023); See-Saw (MoMA, 2019). 'Duels': (duel c, River-To-River, 2023; duel H, Danspace Project, 2024; and sDuel, MDT, Stockholm, 2025) unfolding choreographies commingling violence and care.
