Alberto Nicolis
Science Residency
Alberto Nicolis is a theoretical physicist. He studied at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, and worked as a researcher at Universidad Autonoma in Madrid and at Harvard University. He is now an Associate Professor at Columbia University. His research interests range from cosmology and gravitational phenomena to the dynamics of ordinary earthly fluids. He is presently very interested in “vortex rings”—a passion he shares with dolphins.
