Pioneer Works Supper Club is a dinner series created to celebrate local chefs and serve as a community gathering around an original dining experience. This edition of Supper Club will transform the Pioneer Works Garden into a creative (socially distanced) tableside picnic.

Join Chef DeVonn Francis of Yardy and Creative Director Anna Polonsky of Polonsky & Friends for a celebration of spring and what it symbolizes: Nature and humans’ new beginnings. Spring is a season of hope and renewal that has been celebrated in all cultures across the ages. On May 4, our hosts will question and rethink what a celebration of spring is in New York in 2021; the meal will be designed with sustainability, multiculturalism, and community in mind.

Please note: This dinner will be outdoors with limited capacity and will follow all Covid-19 safety guidelines. Face coverings will be mandatory, and we are asking all guests to observe social distancing when not seated.

Chef and artist DeVonn Francis is reshaping the culinary scene as we know it. With a background in design and performance studies, the Virginia-raised creative founded the one of a kind hospitality company—Yardy World—in 2017. DeVonn uses his culinary practice to explore the role of food and art in Caribbean culture to then present it in an inviting, original way. Yardy World has gone on to produce experiential dinner parties, create brand campaigns, and develop activations in order to redefine and reaffirm the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the New York landscape.

Founder and Creative Director Anna Polonsky applies her strategic and creative skills to support mission-driven, food-related projects initiated by some of today’s most interesting chefs, activists, and brands working towards inclusivity, sustainability, craftsmanship, and wellness. She has worked in hospitality her entire career and earned accolades from numerous organizations, including Forbes Magazine‘s 30under30 and the James Beard Foundation. In 2014, she co-founded The MP Shift, the first 360° creative agency in hospitality, providing concept, graphics, and interior design services to an international clientele.

Supper Club is presented by Chandon.
