Mina Stone is a chef living in Brooklyn, New York. Stone began her foray into the culinary world catering for friends as a side job as a way to support her fashion line. She enjoyed cooking as a creative outlet that gave her the freedom to make whatever she likes. This led to cooking for artists, such as Urs Fischer, at their studios, as well as gallery dinners for Gavin Brown and other prominent players in the art world. It was only when Fischer, for whom she cooks three times a week for his staff, suggested that they do a cookbook together that Stone decided to make cooking her day job. Published in 2015, Cooking for Artists is her first cookbook, published under Fischer’s imprint, Kiito-San.
