Sonic Arts for All Workshop
at Press Play

Join us for a youth music workshop with Sonic Arts for All (SAFA!) to kick off our book and music fair, Press Play.

In this hands-on, two hour pop-up workshop at Press Play, SAFA! instructors focus on student exploration and independent projects through making music with new technology. Using tablets, drum machines, synthesizers, and recording equipment, each student can experiment with technology while being able to pursue and create music that is entirely their own. Students will learn basics of each devices, and then be given room and guidance to create their own musical work. At the end of the workshop, they can share with the rest of the class and their work will be made available to share after with friends and family!

RSVP is limited. Parents and Guardians welcome!

About SAFA!

Sonic Arts for All is a non-profit whose mission is to provide a fun, yet still rigorous, alternative to the traditional music classroom for the K-12 and special needs students of New York City and beyond.

SAFA! utilizes technology as the key component of their curriculum, providing professional digital music and recording equipment for our students to use at all our workshops, as well as consultation to families on how to utilize the technology found in many homes, such as tablets and PCs, to create music.
