Red Hook Regatta 2025
In light of the weather forecast for rain on Saturday, the Red Hook Regatta is rescheduled to Sunday, June 1st.
Join us at Valentino Pier for the return of Red Hook Regatta, where remote-controlled, 3D-printed, and DIY boats take on an obstacle course along Red Hook’s picturesque waterfront. Pack a lunch, bring your DIY boats, blanket, and enjoy science and art activities from Brooklyn-based community programs.
In addition to the boat races, there will be a halftime show from the Scratch Academy DJs. See the schedule below to learn more about programming throughout the day. Actor Travis Raeburn will serve as an MC for the event.
Participants of all skill levels are welcome to participate. Whether you're a budding builder or a seasoned sailor, there’s something for everyone at this one-of-a-kind event that celebrates creativity and community. Through May, we’ll host workshops at Second Sundays to support builders in creating their boats to participate in the public 3D printed or DIY boat races. Limited, electronic motor kits are available through Learn & Engage's programming—such as our May Second Sundays’s Red Hook Regatta Time Capsule workshop. Learn more on our Second Sundays page.
Registration for the boat race is now closed. Have more questions about kits and participation? You can reach out to education@pioneerworks.org.
