PAF Day 2: Dean Blunt, Garbaggio

The New York edition of PAF will return to Pioneer Works for two evenings of new audiovisual performances by international artists including Isama Zing & Ink Midget, Jakub Jansa, and Slowmotiondancer on Day 1 and Dean Blunt on Day 2. Dean Blunt will present a new performance titled “Garbaggio,” one of the three new performances commissioned by PAF and created on site at Pioneer Works during Dean’s Music Residency. PAF is a Czech platform for moving image, animation, and contemporary art. Its main output is PAF Olomouc – Festival of Film Animation and Contemporary Art, whose 17th edition takes place December 6–9, 2018 in Olomouc, Czech Republic.  All performances are commissioned by PAF, with support from Pioneer Works.

Dean Blunt is a musician and artist based in London. He is known for his solo work as well as collaborations with Hype Williams, Babyfather, and Graffiti Island. He has released numerous solo albums and has had solo exhibitions at [SPACE] or Arcadia Missa, among others. Most recently he wrote and directed the opera Inna at ICA London, featuring music from Mica Levi.
