 created a zine inspired by a conversation that developed in the #random channel of the collective’s Slack. Through this publication, they hope to encourage consideration around ideas of “good leadership.” Within the zine is stored a link to a shared Google Doc where viewers are welcome to write in responses. Writers have a platform to share their perspectives anonymously, privately, and/or in conversation with others.

During this iteration, members build on responses shared in last month’s installment to offer a continuous dialogue as well as further forms to prompt and support discussion around leadership.

The live stream Google Doc will be video projected at Pioneer Works from April 14 – May 15 in the Tech Lab and at Soft Sharing, a monthly open house at Soft Surplus, on April 19.

The transgression from this female foundation has largely been enforced through long standing societal dynamics and divisions of power. Heart of the Machine is a program series that brings focus to cultural constructions around computational systems through a series of workshops, artist talks, and salons responding to the exhibition <a href="https://pioneerworks.org/exhibitions/refiguring-binaries/">Refiguring Binaries</a>, curated by Kelani Nichole. Highlighted throughout this series will be female-identifying practitioners, as well as the technological tools and resources to assist in promoting futures that are diverse and liberatory.
