Holi Celebration

Holi is a festival of colors in celebration of spring. Come welcome spring with featured performers including khayal and thumri singer Sangeeta Lahiri and Indian vocalist Kiran Ahluwalia with guitarist Rez Abbasi. BRM has a full schedule of activities including the throwing of colors, a family performance by Raga Kids, special spring food treats, Indian classical music and more.

5:30PM – 6:15PM | RAGA KIDS

Raga Kids offers a unique way for young people to begin exploring the music of India and America. Raga Kids listen to such Indian classical instruments as the sitar and the tabla, along with the guitar and the violin, and Indian singing while they learn about Indian music and participate in multilingual sing-alongs. Open to kids of all stages, infants welcome.

6:30PM – 7:30PM | COSMOGONY, SPECIAL HOLI PERFORMANCE

Samadhi Arts (www.samadhiarts.org) and FOLD present Cosmogony: an immersive performance combining dance, music, ritual, and storytelling, drawing from the world’s creation myths. Accompanied by BRM musicians, the FOLD performance ensemble will take audiences on an interactive journey inspired by the mystical experience of rebirth, culminating in a joyous celebration of Holi, the spring festival of colors.
