False Harmonics #5:
Lucrecia Dalt, Hiro Kone & Roxy Farman, Aaron Dilloway
The fifth iteration of False Harmonics will focus on presenting new music and collaborations that have been cultivated in recent Music Residencies at Pioneer Works. August Residents Hiro Kone and Roxy Farman will present the premiere of their new collaboration. September Resident Lucrecia Dalt will perform solo, as will Aaron Dilloway, who will be in town to collaborate with Lucrecia during her time at Pioneer Works.
Lucrecia Dalt, a former geotechnical engineer from Colombia, now residing in Berlin, pays careful attention to pace, breath, and texture, micro-tonally shifting the distance between speech and song.
Hiro Kone is the alias of Nicky Mao, a New York City-based musician and producer. Her most recent LP, Pure Expenditure, was released on Dais Records in 2018. Taking a deconstructive approach to music, she is known to draw upon a combination of modular synthesis, noise, field recordings, and her once abandoned violin training.
Roxy Farman is an artist and musician from New York City. She is one half of the music duo Wetware.
Aaron Dilloway is an experimental musician born in 1976. He is an improvisor and composer originally from Brighton, Michigan who works with the manipulation of 8-Track tape loops in combination with voice, tape delays, and various organic and electronic sound sources. A founding member of the industrial noise group Wolf Eyes (1998 – 2005), Dilloway now resides in Oberlin, OH where he runs Hanson Records.
