Position Description

Pioneer Works is seeking a Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to manage digital content and communications across the institution's web, social, and email channels. This role will support the growth and development of Pioneer Works’ digital and in-person audiences. They will work closely with our design, programming, and editorial teams to oversee effective digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is familiar with digital growth strategies within an arts and culture organization to increase attendance and engagement. The position will report to the Founding Artistic Director.

Responsibilities

  • Work to expand PW’s digital presence against established goals and objectives across all social platforms
  • Manage and execute website and ticketing page requests, collaborating with programming departments and the Artistic Director for approvals and delivery
  • Lead the development of newsletter and social media content with assistance from the design department and manage social postings
  • Monitor and provide regular reports on website, newsletter, and social media metrics.
  • Help to devise strategies and to set and meet goals for increasing website traffic, newsletter subscribers, and social media followers.
  • Prepare and distribute external communications including press releases, event invitations, and newsletters.
  • Coordinate with Broadcast about editorial output on social media, and assist with Broadcast newsletter strategy as needed.
  • Respond to direct messages, comments and reviews on the Pioneers Works social media channels
  • Coordinate development of marketing design assets cross-departmentally
  • Attend Pioneer Works events to capture content and share across social platforms
  • Support in the development of press releases / supporting media outreach.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Proven ability to grow audiences through paid search, social, and newsletter strategies
  • Experience with Figma and InDesign
  • Thorough understanding of brand marketing, audience development, performance strategies, and associated KPIs
  • Deep understanding of email marketing strategies, including list building, segmentation, A/B testing, drip campaigns, and results tracking
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and internal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of departments across organizations
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of and hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Ads, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Mailchimp, and all social media platforms is required
  • Media experience is nice to have
  • Interest in the arts and sciences is nice to have
  • Experience managing budgets is nice to have Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience. Range: $70,000-$85,000/year, plus full benefits including health insurance, 401k, and unlimited PTO
