Linocut Printmaking

In honor of our woodblock edition by Duke Riley, produced in collaboration with Brooklyn’s Shoestring Press, participants will learn how to printmake using linoleum. Participants will be mailed supplies kits to start their own linonleum printmaking practice. From 1:00pm-1:45, join Shoestring Press’ Lane Sell for instruction followed by a break to carve on your own from 2-3pm. The class will end will a final segment of instruction from 3:15-4pm.

Date: This one-time online workshop meets on Sunday, February 7 from 1-4pm EST via Zoom. (An additional session will be available on Sunday, February 14 and requires separate registration.)

Price: $195 (Materials included)

Audience: Open to all.

Lane Sell is founder, owner, and master printer of Shoestring Press where he works with artists and instructs classes in a variety of print mediums. His monumental silkscreen print works are created from body prints, archival images, text and found objects, and often call for the participation of the audience.

Dedicated to doing more with less, Shoestring Press serves artists in Brooklyn with printmaking, drawing and painting work space, master printer services, and community.
