Fabric Making with Anya Kielar

Join exhibiting artist Anya Kielar as she guides participants through her process of fabric making using stencils and hand painting.

Fusing Kielar’s last several bodies of work, Shadow Box, on view in our 2nd Floor Gallery from September 9 -November 20 2022, comprises the artists largest works to date—a triptych of works which delve into the portrayal of female subjects through the aesthetic device of shallow relief.

Date: This in-person workshop will meet once on Saturday, November 12 from 1-5pm.

Anya Kielar (b. 1978, New York, NY) earned a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art, New York and an MFA from Columbia University, New York. Kielar has presented solo exhibitions at venues such as Locust Projects, Miami; Casey Kaplan, New York; and Daniel Reich Gallery, New York.
