We're pleased to announce the first major renovation of Pioneer Works! To accommodate the first phase of our construction, we're temporarily relocating to 133 Imlay Street opening in Spring 2022.

Thanksgiving Closure

Pioneer Works will be closed on 11/28 - 11/29 in observance of Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day.

On June 7th, 2022, Chicago-based experimental songwriter Circuit des Yeux performed alongside Brooklyn-based composer and producer Faten Kanaan for the fourth installment of 

. In her 10-year career as Circuit des Yeux, Chicago-based vocalist, composer, and singer-songwriter Haley Fohr has grown into one of America’s most successful efforts to connect the personal to the universal. She is most distinctly identified by her 4-octave voice and unique style of 12-string guitar. Her recent works include critically acclaimed album 

 (2017), released on Drag City Records, and 

 (2021), released on Matador Records. ♦

Graveyard Shift: Circuit des Yeux

In collaboration with Brooklyn’s historic Green-Wood Cemetery, Graveyard Shift proposes a new way of interacting with the space of the cemetery by activating it through sight, sound, and movement.

On May 11th, 2023, experimental musician and film composer Colin Stetson performed with visionary art pop musician Deradoorian for the sixth installment of Graveyard Shift—a concert presented by Pioneer Works in collaboration with Brooklyn’s historic Green-Wood Cemetery. The Canadian-American saxophonist, multireedist, and composer is known for his powerhouse performances. He’s collaborated with the likes of Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Lou Reed, LCD Soundsystem, and more, and still his recorded output is prolific. His film credits include the scores for Hereditary and The Menu. A former wrestler, Stetson’s raw physical prowess merges with a relentless exploration of his instruments to cast intricate sonic textures that captivate and challenge his audiences. ♦
