Utilizing present technologies and modern approaches to music, Thollem will be producing modern arrangements of radical song-writer Joe Hill’s more obscure songs. He will be bringing in a cast of NY musicians with a core of Yuka C Honda, Ravish Momin, Michael Wimberly, Laura Ortman to help re-introduce the life and words of Joe Hill to today’s audiences, layering the struggles in this country 100 years ago with those of our present socio-political experiences.
Thollem’s invited ACVilla to create music videos. She’ll be mixing multiple projections of affected archival footage with fresh scenes of the U.S. onto the architecture in and surrounding Pioneer Works.
