Pixy Liao is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Photography. She has completed artist residencies at Light Work, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Center for Photography at Woodstock, and the Camera Club of New York. Liao’s photographs have been exhibited at international venues including Flower Gallery (NY), He Xiangning Art Museum (Shenzhen), VT Artsalon (Taipei), Kips Gallery (Seoul), Running Horse Contemporary Art Space (Beirut), OpenART (Örebro, Sweden), Format Photo Festival (Derby, UK), and Noorderlicht (Leeuwarden, Netherlands).
