Position Description:

Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Annual Giving Manager is responsible for stewarding all members and supporting Pioneer Works’ development efforts at every level of giving. This includes running a reimagined membership program; overseeing the planning and execution of the year end campaign, conducting prospect research; gift processing and acknowledgements; and assisting in donor cultivation, stewardship, and correspondence.

The role is critical to helping Pioneer Works capitalize on fundraising opportunities, and will track outreach and strategize ways to increase mid and entry level annual gifts to the organization.

In alignment with Pioneer Works current policy, all applicants should be available to report to the office at least three days per week. This policy is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Annual Giving and Membership Programs
    • Strategize, track, and draft all annual fund fundraising efforts
    • Manage and fulfill benefits for the member and patron programs
    • Maintain regular contact with donors and prospects
    • Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship at in-person events
    • Plan and execute year-end appeal and all other campaigns throughout the year with a particular emphasis on growing membership program
    • Coordinate with communications and programming departments on messaging and fundraising opportunities
    • Design data and hospitality procedures to ensure a culture of cultivation and a philanthropic pipeline throughout the organization
  • Department Administration
    • Track all donors, including generating key data and reports on gift trends
    • Manage individual donor and prospect research, including preparing briefing documents before high-level meetings and events
    • Draft donor correspondence for CEO and department leads
  • Draft and review all donor acknowledgment letters Database and Operations
    • Oversee all individual gift processing in Salesforce and manage third-party payment gateways
    • Work with development team and consulting team to design and execute database architecture
    • Process and track donor ticketing in Eventbrite
    • Track donor event attendance in Salesforce

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a nonprofit development office, preferably with experience in individual giving, running an annual fund, and making direct appeals
  • Demonstrated understanding of donor management and the ability to handle relationships with key stakeholders with tact and maturity
  • Comfortable interacting with Pioneer Works leadership, Board members, and external stakeholders
  • Ambitious work ethic and ability to work both autonomously and as part of departmental or cross-departmental team
  • Familiarity and comfort with databases and other digital tools supporting Advancement and Finance functions; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Experience preparing and implementing fundraising campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication and writing ability across a range of forms and contexts
  • Robust organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, with zealous attention to detail

Compensation:

$65,000 - 75,000/year, based on experience
