Polyrhythms in Music, Math, Art, and Movement

Build your own instrument and learn to play music rhythmically, melodically, and conceptually. Class exercises will include collaborative work and experiments that take an interdisciplinary approach to musical constructs. A week prior to the class, the instructor will be in touch to curate the final syllabus according to participant interests and backgrounds.

Participants will interpret polyrhythms through learning to play their own handmade instruments, and will be encouraged to demonstrate connections between the concepts covered in class and their own personal medium – be it music, research, movement, visual art, science, math, writing, management or more.

Price: $225 [includes $25 materials fee]

Audience: Open to all regardless of musical experience.

Materials: Materials are included with registration
