Printed objects are both art-form and platform to archive and disseminate ideas and collaborations. Pioneer Works’ publishing department produces a bi-annual magazine, artist books, pamphlets, exhibition catalogs, and other projects. Our magazine, Intercourse, acts as an archive of the collaborations and programming at Pioneer Works and features articles on art, science and education, with a preference for the arcane, incongruous, deplorable, exotic, and essential. Our pocket series, Groundworks, is devoted to statements and propositions that elude categorization and seek to broaden the parameters of their subjects. Groundworks feature unique volumes of essays, poetry, pedagogy, theory, conversations, lectures, and experiments in hybridization.
